Gambling Recovery Program

Gambling problems are about more than money. The Gambling Recovery Program is an 8-week therapeutic group for adults who are struggling with gambling or working to rebuild their lives after gambling-related harm.

Problem gambling can affect finances, relationships, trust, mental health, employment, and a person’s sense of control. It can also be incredibly isolating. Secrecy, chasing losses, financial stress, shame, and the belief that one more win could fix everything can create a cycle that becomes increasingly difficult to interrupt.

This group goes beyond simply telling someone to stop gambling. Participants learn to understand their individual gambling cycle, identify triggers and high-risk situations, manage urges, challenge distorted gambling-related thinking, address financial harm, rebuild accountability and trust, and develop healthier ways of managing emotions and stress.

We also focus on what comes next. When gambling has consumed significant time, energy, money, or emotional space, stopping can leave a major void. Recovery involves building something in its place.

What We’ll Work On

The eight-week program addresses the gambling cycle, secrecy and shame, triggers and urges, gambling-related cognitive distortions, chasing losses, managing the first 30 minutes of an urge, financial harm and repair, relationships and accountability, values and identity, and individualized relapse prevention.

The program incorporates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), emotion-regulation skills, and relapse-prevention strategies.

Format, Insurance & Self-Pay

The Gambling Recovery Program is an 8-week closed therapeutic group with 90-minute weekly sessions. Cohorts are offered either in person or virtually, depending on the scheduled group.

Insurance is accepted for eligible participants. Coverage varies by insurance plan, and individual cost-sharing requirements such as copays, coinsurance, and deductibles may apply. Benefits can be verified prior to enrollment.

A self-pay rate of $30 per session is also available for participants who prefer not to use insurance or whose plan does not cover the group.

The Recovery Collective for Women™

Recovery is about more than stopping a behavior. It’s also about figuring out who you are without it.

The Recovery Collective for Women™ is an 8-week therapeutic group for women who want to go deeper in their recovery and work on the emotional, relational, and identity-related pieces that often remain after the initial work of getting sober has begun.

Recovery can bring stability while also uncovering a completely different set of questions. Who am I now? Why do I keep falling into the same relationship patterns? Why is it so hard to set boundaries? Why do I still feel guilty, disconnected, or uncomfortable asking for help? What does a meaningful life actually look like outside of survival?

This group creates space to work through those questions alongside other women who understand that recovery is about much more than abstinence. Participants explore identity, relationships, boundaries, self-worth, shame, protective patterns, vulnerability, receiving support, and creating a life that feels sustainable and meaningful.

The Recovery Collective is not a traditional recovery meeting or lecture-based class. It is a structured therapeutic group combining clinical discussion, practical exercises, reflection, skill-building, and connection.

What We’ll Work On

Over eight weeks, we explore safety and belonging, identity beyond addiction and survival, protective patterns, responsibility without shame, boundaries, self-compassion, receiving support, hope, connection, and moving forward with intention.
